Description: The balance consists of two small lead spheres comprising a torsion pendulum contained in a protective plastic box. Two larger spheres are placed on holders outside of the box. These holders can move from one end of the box to the other.
Special Instructions: This is generally set up to show the class what a real balance looks like, but the experiment is not performed. It is too sensitive to work in the classroom.
