Description: A PVC rod is rubbed with black cloth to produce a negative charge. An acrylic rod is rubbed with paper towel to produce a positive charge. An electroscope is used to display this production of charge.
Special Instructions: Make sure you hear the build up of charge on the rods. This will be indicated by a crackling noise. Will not work well when humid (beginning of fall semester or summer session).
