Description: A small beaker sits inside of a larger beaker. Vegetable oil is poured into the smaller beaker until it starts to overflow. As the space between beakers fills with oil, the smaller beaker will start to "disappear". This is due to the fact that Pyrex and vegetable oil have the same index of refraction.
