Description: An aluminum plate hangs from two springs within an aluminum frame. Magnets attached to the plate can be moved close to the frame, causing an increase in the amount of damping (eddy currents).
Special Instructions: Turn the handle behind the plate to increase the amount of damping. Don't let the magnets touch the frame. Also, don't give the mass too great of an amplitude. A computer and motion detector can be used to see the damped motion.
