Description: An insulated rod has large PVC and acrylic spheres attached to its ends. When each sphere is charged, a dipole is formed. The dipole is placed between two conducting plates, which are charged with a Wimshurst machine. The rod will align itself with the electric field between the plates.
Special Instructions: Charge PVC with felt, acrylic with plastic. Hold rod in the middle when charging.
