Description: A small pinwheel is connected to a Wimshurst machine. When the Wimshurst is cranked, the pinwheel rotates. Strong electric field near the sharp edges creates a corona discharge. The repulsion between charge in the air and charge on the edge moves the wheel. This can also be interpreted as a reactive force due to current flowing out of the wheel.
