5E40.80 - Hydrogen Fuel Cell

Hydrogen fuel cell

PIRA Classification: 5E40.80

Description: A solar cell powers a PEM cell used in the electrolysis of water. The hydrogen from this process is collected and then sent to another PEM cell where is combines with oxygen and produces energy which turns a fan.

Special Instructions: Shine the light on the solar cell for approximately 3 minutes. This will produce enough hydrogen to run the fan for about 10 minutes. Open the clamp to allow hydrogen into the PEM cell. For faster production of hydrogen, a battery can replace the solar cell.

Condition: Good

Setup time: 2 minutes

Safety Issues: None
