Description: Dysprosium (Z=66) is normally non-magnetic at room temperature (as can be demonstrated by bring a magnet near it). When the metal is cooled with liquid nitrogen (bringing it below its Curie point), it becomes ferromagnetic. As it warms, it becomes non-magnetic again.
