Malus' law

PIRA Classification: 6H10.12

Description: Two round polarizers (mounted in stands) are placed between a light source and light sensor. A rotary motion sensor (which measures angles) is placed in contact with the edge of one of the polarizers. A computer program is set up to plot light intensity vs. angle. When one of the polarizers is rotated, a nice cos2x curve is generated by the program.
